Louvre Loves Cocktails in Support of Autism Guernsey
Louvre Group is always eager to support the local communities within which it operates. This month, the team jumped at the chance to make a special cocktail, all in the name of charity.
The Saffery Champness 70’s Cocktail Challenge was held in aid of Autism Guernsey and asked teams to devise, make and sell a cocktail. Everyone was encouraged to dress up for the night and Louvre embraced the 70s vibe in style.
The Luscious Louvers competed against 11 other teams to raise much-needed funds for the charity. The teams battled in three rounds of four; each group had 30 minutes to make and sell their concoctions, with prizes awarded for best cocktail, most money raised and best-decorated bar.
The Louvre team kicked off the night in round one with our Louvers Raspberry Lush, which was a big hit. It combined the classic flavours of gin, Prosecco and raspberry liqueur topped off with golden glazed raspberries for a stylish finishing touch.
Unfortunately, we did not win the coveted golden pineapple trophy, but it’s the taking part that counts!
The whole event raised £6,501 and if you would like to recreate our Louvers Raspberry Lush at home, here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
30 ml Gin
30 ml Haut Maison Raspberry Liqueur
120 ml Prosecco
Raspberries
Method:
Fill the cocktail shaker with the gin and raspberry liqueur, shake well then strain into a martini glass. Top up with prosecco and top with your gilded raspberries before serving.
