Louvre Employees Complete 30 Runs in 30 Days
Six Louvre employees have completed Les Bourgs Hospice’s 30 Runs in 30 Days challenge. The runners were six of 200 people who took part this year, raising an impressive £800 for the hospice.
Matt Gilligan, Jamie Dodd, Toby Smale, Derek Baudains, Matt De Carteret and Stewart Moyles took part in the charitable event throughout the month of October.
Following the popular 30 Bays in 30 Days summer swimming event, Les Bourgs Hospice decided to launch an autumn initiative that got islanders of all athletic abilities running for 30 minutes for 30 days.
Participants ran as long or as short a distance as they wished each day for 30 days, as long as it was for 30 minutes each time.
The Louvre team battled the elements, with someone from the office running every single day during the wettest and windiest October we’ve seen in a while.
A special mention must go to Louvre’s Chief Executive Officer Derek Baudains who, despite being the oldest runner in the team, completed all 30 runs!
