Puppy Therapy for Louvre Staff
The team at Louvre were lucky enough to get a visit from some very special guests.
Local charity Paws for Support brought eight sprocker spaniel puppies and their mum to meet the team at our Guernsey office. Needless to say, everyone was delighted to be in that morning!
Paws for Support is a Guernsey-based organisation that is dedicated to using highly-trained therapeutic and educational dogs to improve people’s wellbeing in the Bailiwick.
The therapy dogs make social visits all over the island, from schools and offices to nursing homes, improving lives by helping to teach the importance of respect, kindness, love, responsibility, friendship and trust.
Staff spent the morning getting to know the puppies whilst their brilliant trainers explained the vital work they do within the community. In particular, Paws for Support educated the team on the invaluable time they spend with young children, the elderly and those struggling with mental health problems.
This initiative was part of Louvre’s wellbeing activities, which also helped to spread awareness and raise funds for a fantastic local charity.
Matt Gilligan, Associate Director at Louvre said: “We were delighted to welcome the team at Paws for Support and their beautiful puppies into our offices for a morning of fun, education and cuddles! The staff loved meeting the puppies and hearing more about the great work that Paws for Support do in our community”.
